Too much of IPL
As a Ex- CSK fan and detaching my self from watching the game far from a fan’s perceptive has given me boon to enjoy cricket without any disappointment. But indeed I have been having some secrete favorites, who I look forward to in all matches . I wanted to highlight 2 brave men from KKR who I think are really special.
RCB vs KKR held on c, April 06, 2023 is a phenomial match according to me.
Right from listening to Ashiwn’s kutty story i have been a looking up to Shardul Thakur
His attitude, fight and ability to recover is something I see differentiating him from other cricketers.
KKR started well but when they reached 12 overs they had lost 5 wickets for 94 , thats when Lord Shardul enters the pitch. The usual careless, casual and not to expect something big from him.

Look at the game, no mercy lives, no dropped catches, not even a single ball with lucky top edge 3rd man boundaries, each shot performed with clear intent and form. What makes Lord Shardul special ?

Ashwin comments on him “ its not the size of the dog , but the fight of the dog” Keeping things simple and silent in this over glossy environment is key , and I think lord does this with Style, Look at what Zaheer had to say . He is one who know the real time scenarios in dressing room, spot light of players, positioning issues of a blower in current day context.

This clever innings at Eden Garden was accompanied by another tense looking yet confident UP left-handed Batsman Rinku Singh. He seems to have an impressive history of Ranji, already picked by Punjab later again bought by KKR on 2018, dropped on 2021, banned for playing in Dubai league without permission and again bought by KKR on 2022. Though he had performed decent numbers on ’22, I honestly did not recognise him when he played on other end with Shardul. One have to note that this is yet another talent loss for Punjab within the reign of Anil Kumble and gain for KKR under the current management.

Rinku had written that he is gonna hot 50 runs in his hand before the match, a normal practice in Indian youth for exams, but when Rana asks him what makes him do that Rinku though he is confident inside, little shy to show off his swag.
I knew he was something as soon as I saw the play with Shardul, after the video passed on by firend. In RCB i was silently supporting RCB but after Shardul’s action I wanted KKR to win for this effort.
So today when when KKR had to chase 204 against GT in Ahmedabad and magic hat trick of Rashid Khan had put the riders on stand still I was rotting for Rinku. This time Lord had gifted Khan with 3ver.
I knew this guy is gonna do something, but who is gonna affirm me of that ? this guy was there some time and it was 19th over, few boundaries here and there yah!!! but GT is gonna win , Rinku is pushed to last ball in 19th over hitting bounder and on the other hand you have Umesh who is gonna face the first ball.
I was watching with my wife and 2 year old, I asked my wife deliberately knowing she knows little about Rinku’s background, She said now, its logical right
Even if Umesh gives the strike to Rinku in the first ball Rinku had to hit 5 sixes in row , 1/ Million scenario ? isn’t .
I would say Rashid taught of the same as well, he dint have the luxury of any other than Yash Dayal to bowl the last over.

Even on the last ball 1 ball 5 to win, my wife was hoping got 4 run draw, I think people would have still respected him for the last fight but the fight is done when you are not dead says Rinku
But I think even in the last over I am pretty sure Rinku had wrote this in his mind he is gonna win. This is affirmation taken far more seriously
